Bulk 3D Printing for Events and Small Businesses

Bulk 3D printing is a practical way to get event favors, branded pieces, parts or a small product run without paying for a mold. We print quantity orders on our FDM printers in Arizona, with discounts from 10 pieces up. Here's what works well in bulk, how pricing and timing work, and how to plan an order so it arrives when you need it.

Why 3D print in bulk instead of molding

Injection molding is the cheapest way to make thousands of identical plastic parts, but it needs a mold first. That mold is a large upfront cost that only pays off over a long run, and changing the design means changing the mold.

3D printing needs no tooling at all. That makes it a good fit for runs of tens of pieces rather than thousands: enough for an event, a launch or a small shop, without a storeroom full of stock. You can also adjust the design between batches, which is handy while a product is still evolving.

Because every piece in a batch prints from the same file with the same settings, the results come out consistent. Each piece is still finished by hand and checked before shipping.

What works well in bulk

Events

  • wedding and party favors, such as small keepsakes with names or a date
  • place card holders, table numbers and small signs
  • centerpiece accents and table decorations
  • keychains or tags for a reunion, club or team

Small businesses

  • keychains or desk pieces with your own logo
  • display stands, sign holders and product risers
  • jigs, fixtures and cable clips for a workshop
  • replacement parts or small components for a product
  • prototypes to test before investing in molding

The best bulk designs share a few traits: they're small, they print without much support material and they don't need assembling. The simpler each piece is, the faster a batch prints and the lower the price per piece.

Your logo has to be your own, or one you have permission to use. We don't print other companies' logos, trademarks or copyrighted characters for resale.

How bulk pricing works

Quantity Discount
10–24 pieces 10% off
25–49 pieces 15% off
50+ pieces 20% off

The discount comes off your quoted price, which depends on size, material, detail and quantity. Our custom 3D printing price guide explains what drives a quote.

PLA and PLA+ are included in our starting prices; PETG, TPU, silk and multicolor prints are quoted. If we need to design the piece or turn your logo into a 3D model, design time is $40 per hour with a 1-hour minimum, quoted before we start. You pay through a secure Shopify invoice, and orders over $150 start with a 50% deposit, with the balance due before shipping.

Planning your timeline

Quantity orders take longer than single prints simply because there are more hours of printing. Work backward from your date:

  1. Quote: within 1–2 business days of your request.
  2. Design, if needed: design-from-your-idea orders can take up to 2 weeks in total.
  3. Production: your written quote states the production time for your quantity.
  4. Shipping: transit time is extra, and international shipping is quoted on request.

Rush service is available for +25% when our print queue allows, but it can't be guaranteed, so the safest plan is to send your request early. For an event, a few weeks of breathing room makes everything calmer.

Tips for a smooth bulk order

  • Send clean artwork. A high-resolution PNG or a PDF of your logo works far better than a photo of a business card.
  • Keep details printable. Very thin lines and tiny text don't survive at keychain size. Bold, simple shapes read best.
  • Choose colors early. Multicolor prints are quoted and affect both time and cost.
  • Consider a small first batch. If the design is new, a few pieces first let you check size and feel before committing to fifty.
  • Tell us the purpose. A favor that's handled once needs less strength than a clip used every day, and that changes how we set up the print.
